The bee charmer herself! Idgie is one half of the loving couple at the heart of the novel Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe. Idgie never fit the mold, and was more than happy to create her own path. Idgie is a character made all the more beloved by her grief and love and determination.
She wears brown cuffed linen trousers with faux leather suspenders. Her shirt is white linen, rolled at the sleeves and has three wee buttons. She comes to you with both a striped apron for working in the cafe and a wee small jar of honey.
Idgie was made in my smoke free home studio. I used cotton muslin for her body. Her legs bend at the knee. Idgie's body is made with a combination of machine and hand stitching. I hand stuff and hand assembled her using a needle and thread. I've given her elbows, so her arms bend.
