Gesche 'Gessina' Gottfried was a German serial poisoner who murdered at least 15 people between 1813 and 1827. She preferred a mix of Arsenic and fat, which was commonly called 'Mouse Butter'. Most of her victims were friends and relatives! Because of her selfless care of her victims on their deathbeds, she was called 'The Angel of Bremen' and was the last person to be publicly executed there.
Her entire story is on the blog!
The only picture of Gesche is a drawing. I knew that her clothing would be dark in color, and this dark blue linen was perfect to make her simple day dress and caplet. I trimmed her sleeves and caplet in cream colored crochet lace. Her neck kerchief and bonnet are undyed cotton muslin. I love the feel of this linen, it's soft and drapes beautifully. Gesche is my only blonde Murderess. She comes home to you with a wee arsenic bottle.
Gesche was made in my smoke free, one cat household. She is made of tea dyed cotton muslin, and fiberfill. I made her and her clothing with a combination of machine and hand stitching. Her hair is sheep, and has no odor.
