This little shadowbox is made from a wood box which I painted and Victorian Era paper ephemera. The image of the skeletons was called the Arsenic Dance, and was an illustration that highlighted an issue of the day. Arsenic was commonly used in green dye for textiles, wallpaper and decorative items. A green dress would be filled with arsenic!
Measures 4" wide, 3 1/4" tall and is 1" deep.
