When Covid started, I made a series of cards, just for the fun of it. This is one of my favorites of the bunch. It feels very death positive to me, as she accepts her aging and eventual death. As a 49 year old woman, it also feels like a card about the way we become invisible in a society obsessed with youth.
This little 3.5x5 card features an image and text from a children's book on health published in 1924.
This card features a young girl standing in the doorway of a cottage. She is speaking to a smaller child. The text reads 'We shall lose all our beauty and finally disappear'.
