Lizzie Borden took an axe,
and gave her mother forty whacks;
When she saw what she had done,
she gave her father forty-one.
There are many photos of Lizzie, so this is the Second version of Two Lizzie dolls that I made.
This version is of Lizzie in a day dress look. Perhaps the very dress that she burned after her Father and Step Mother were found so brutally murdered? Her bodice comes to a peak at the waist and features black lace detailing, a high neck and puffed sleeves. The pattern is black floral on cream. Her skirt is soft black. Lizzie is approx 24" tall and she comes home to you with the wee axe pictured.
Lizzie was made in my smoke free, one cat household. She is made of tea dyed cotton muslin, and fiberfill. I made her and her clothing with a combination of machine and hand stitching. Her hair is sheep, and has no odor.
